Michael Demers

Senior Consultant and Project Manager

Michael has more than 20 years experience in the transportation and logistics industry and earned his Certified Transportation Professional designation from the National Private Truck Council in 2019. Now, as the Senior Project Manager and Senior Consultant for GLCS overseeing multiple large- and medium-sized technology projects, Michael brings his leadership skills—from board positions both inside and outside the transportation industry—and extensive technology knowledge to both the GLCS team and our clients.

After starting his career in warehouse logistics, Michael went on to hold a variety of positions for both carriers and technology providers. Along the way he developed and administered a professional driver program, became an Hour of Service (HOS) instructor, worked on beta testing teams, and sat on Trimble’s Product Advisory Council when he served as Trimble Regional Account Manager. Prior, as Director of Safety and Compliance at Coastal Pacific Xpress, Inc., Michael worked with multiple government agencies, including the National Safety Council, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, Department of Transportation, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. He also oversaw innovative system changes including the conversion to ELDs and CSA 2010. He has more than 10 years of sales experience and has managed customers across multiple states and provinces.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Simon Fraser University and currently resides in Canada.
